Bringing National Guard troops to D.C. and taking over the city police is not about curbing crime.
Trump didn’t call in the National Guard on January 6th, 2021, as insurrectionists overran the Capital.
Instead he watched TV as over 100 police were injured and 5 people fatally wounded. Later he granted clemency to 1600 insurrectionists.
No, Trump is not about curbing violence.
He’s using a dictator’s strategy: put a military presence on urban streets to bring fear and to intimidate the residents.
He wants to control and dominate, to show American what he will do if we step “out of line” and oppose him. He wants absolute power and control.
It’s the ugly tactic of a power-hungry SOB. Resist!
