Trump: Increasing Signs of Dementia

Something that deserves attention: 79-year-old Trump has been showing signs of dementia more frequently lately.
The press has been sane-washing Trump’s behavior, often ignoring the signs. But the signs are not good:
* During a recent press conference, he said twice he was going to Russia to meet with Putin. He’s not. He’s going to Alaska.
* Another time, he talked about Leningrad, not remembering that the name was changed back to St. Petersburg in 1991.
* A couple of times recently, he has looked for people who were supposed to be with him on stage, without noticing that in fact they were right there.
* He’s losing coordination—for example, more frequently stumbling going up stairs.
* He’s got a “leg swing” seen in some types of dementia.
The implications of a fully demented Trump are the stuff of nightmares. We can hope there are those who are willing to invoke the 25th Amendment before he blows everything up.
